Raft electrofishing is a way to survey trout populations in large rivers out west. The water is too shallow and has too many obstacles to use traditional motor boats.

This chinook salmon made the over 900 mile round trip from the Salmon River to the Pacific Ocean and back. By the time they make it to their natal streams to spawn their bodies are falling apart
while they are still alive.
